Bartender

• Greet bar guests promptly by name. 
• Engage in conversations to get to know customers on a personal level and increase repeat business. 
• Know the menu and make recommendations, always getting guests to try new things. 
• Have a magnetic personality by being a great listener and conversationalist. 
• Repeat orders back to customers and make sure dishes are put in correctly. 
• Make bar drinks according to Stix's recipes and procedures. 
• Bartend with style and care as the bartender is a focal point in the restaurant. 
• Wow the guests with a friendly and professional attitude and demeanor. 
• Be able to multitask, and move quickly and purposefully to meet Stix's timing standards. 
• Be able to go back and forth between caring for bar guests, tending to the needs of tables in the bar area, and helping bag to go orders as needed. 
• Follow Stix's service standards and procedures to a tee to ensure consistency. 
• Set an example for all serving staff by providing 5-star service and building strong and lasting relationships with guests. 
• Monitor alcohol service in restaurant to ensure guests are not being overserved. 
• Be available to handle complaints or questions about bar drinks or to cut off a guest before they become intoxicated. 
• Help educate servers about the drink menu and make sure drinks are being run properly and in a timely manner. 
• Communicate and work well with other bartenders and team members and set an example with a great attitude whether in front of customers or not. 
• Conscientiously process credit card payments and ensure each customer is paid out. 
• Help maintain restaurant cleanliness and follow food safety procedures. 
• Complete opening, running, and closing side-work as well as daily cleaning duties.
